This is a cognate shared by Greek and Albanian. *h2nēr- is the root. Other IE languages also have this root: Sanskrit nara, Phrygian anar, Lithuanian noras, Welsh nerth, etc.

Re: Ancient ""Greek"""---- Albanian
Many other ""Greek"" words exploit other Albanian words to create its vocabolary "playing" with Albanian semantics, but the morphology is totally Albanian
Re: Ancient ""Greek"""---- Albanian
Many other words with different meanings use the same principal meaning during word formation:
this word shows "water movement" and has been syntetised in the Albanian word not, notoj:
if we look carefully even in the english word swim we can notice the Albanian root uj.

Re: Ancient ""Greek"""---- Albanian
The Albanian word trup=body is nothing more what English uses to show military troops.
Re: Ancient ""Greek"""---- Albanian
Sometime we have a switch(jump) to the sounds according language evolution. The """Greek""" μορφή(morfe) is equal to forme. m-->f.
Re: Ancient ""Greek"""---- Albanian
There are many examples. As you can see Ancient Greek is not a distinct language, it's Albanian but uses different approach during the word formation, but even when we see compound words still it uses basic Albanian words and semantics.
We must not forget that Ancient Literature "froze" this language for hundreds of years in the shape it has been drafted during the classical period.
